Andrew Henke has been named to the 2008 Academic All-Mountain West Conference team. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.

Reynolds signs new five-year contract

The Air Force Academy and men's basketball head coach Jeff Reynolds have agreed on a new five-year contract that runs through the 2012-13 season, according to an announcement today from Director of Athletics Dr. Hans Mueh. Details of the contract are still being worked out and are going through the Academy process.

Tim Anderson Receives Top Honor at Men's Basketball Banquet

Senior Tim Anderson was awarded the top honor Wednesday night at the Air Force men's basketball awards banquet, held at the Colorado Springs Marriott Hotel. Anderson won the Bob Spear Award, given to the student-athlete that is outstanding in all areas of the Academy - academics, athletics and military performance. There is no higher honor for a men's basketball player.

Men's Basketball Banquet Scheduled for April 16

The Air Force Academy Men's Basketball Banquet will be held Wednesday, April 16, at the Colorado Springs Marriott. The social hour begins at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and program at 7 p.m. Corporate tables for 10 people are available for $500 while individual reservations are available for $50. [+]

Aztecs Edge Falcons, 53-49, at MWC Tournament

Lorrenzo Wade sank four free throws and grabbed a critical rebound in the final seven seconds, allowing San Diego State to edge Air Force 53-49 Thursday in the Mountain West Conference tournament quarterfinals. The Aztecs (20-11) advanced to face No. 24 BYU in the semifinals despite making just two baskets in the final 16:07, both of them by Richie Williams. [+]

Falcons Face San Diego State at MWC Championships

The Air Force Falcons (16-13, 8-8 MWC) open the Phillips 66 Mountain West Conference Basketball Championships on Thursday, March 13 against the San Diego State Aztecs (19-11, 9-7 MWC). The game is scheduled to tip-off at 2:30 p.m. (PT) at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev. The two teams played last Saturday in the regular-season finale, with Air Force winning, 46-43. The Aztecs are the No. 4 seed at the tournament, while the Falcons are the No. 5 seed. [+]

Tim Anderson Named MWC Defensive Player of the Year

Senior Tim Anderson was named the Mountain West Conference men's basketball Defensive Player of the Year Monday by league coaches and selected media. Anderson, a guard from El Paso, Texas, was also selected to the all-MWC second-team. This is Air Force's first major MWC post-season award since Nick Welch was named co-Player of the Year and Joe Scott earned Coach of the Year honors following the 2003-04 campaign. [+]

Falcons Best Aztecs, 46-43, in Defensive Struggle

Tim Anderson scored 11 points to lead Air Force to a 46-43 win over San Diego State on Saturday. In a physical game under the boards, the key play was a defensive rebound by Evan Washington with a second left to play. [+]

Falcons Close Regular Season at Home Against SDSU

The Air Force Falcons (15-13, 7-8 MWC) play their final regular season game of the 2007-08 campaign this Saturday, March 8 against San Diego State. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m., and the game will be televised on The Mtn. The Falcons defeated TCU, 57-36, at home last Wednesday and are tied for fifth place in the league standings with Utah. AFA's four seniors, Tim Anderson, Adam Hood, Eric Kenzik and Keith Maren will be honored in a post-game ceremony. [+]
