The Air Force women's gymnastics team concluded the 2008 season this afternoon (April 19) with the individual event finals at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships. The Air Force women's gymnastics team wrapped up team competition this afternoon (April 17) at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships in Shreveport, La. The Falcons scored a total of 188.600 to finish fourth in the first qualifying session, while two members of the team qualified for the individual event finals. [+]

Seniors Katie Donnell and Kelly Lewis joined junior Abigail Rogers as the Falcons' representatives to the squad. [+]

Air Force women's gymnastics coach Doug Day was named the North Central Regional Head Coach of the Year following the NCAA regional meet this past weekend. It is the first such honor for Day and the first women's coaching award since 2001. Day guided Academy gymnasts to a regional championship meet for the first time since 2005. [+]
